What subjects do you offer tutoring in?
We offer tutoring in English and maths for both primary and secondary school students
What are the teachers’ qualifications and credentials?
All of our teachers at Discover Learning are fully qualified teachers with a bachelors degree as a minimum. We tremendous expertise in their respective subjects.

How long does each lesson last?
Each lesson lasts for one hour.
What are the term dates?
We follow NSW public school division term dates. When you enrol your child, you are enrolling them in lessons for the duration of the full term.
Do you offer one-to-one or group lessons?
We offer both one-to-one and small group lessons, with a maximum of 4 children. Children are only places together in a group after considering their learning styles and strengths to ensure personalised attention and effective learning.
Can my child do both English and maths lessons?
From Year 1 onwards, children can be enrolled for 2 one-hour lessons per week in both English and maths.
For School Readiness and Kindy, English and maths can be taught during a single one-hour lesson.
What does a typical lesson look like at Discover Learning?
We know that every child is unique, so we create individual targets and tailor our teaching approaches to suit the needs of each individual child at Discover Learning. We are passionate about active learning and making learning fun! We use a range of concrete resources to support hands on learning. At Discover Learning, we give children opportunities to experiment with a wide range of materials, encouraging them to think independently whilst exploring concepts in a memorable way.
What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?
We understand that life can be busy! Please refer to our cancellation policy for detailed information regarding cancellations.
Can you help with school assignments?
Absolutely, our experienced teachers are fully prepared to support our students with their academic assignments and homework needs. With each lesson tailored specifically to the individual, our teachers can effectively address topics as they arise throughout the academic term.
What age does the school readiness program start?
Our School Readiness program is designed to help children build the foundational skills they need for a smooth transition to school. Children typically start the program from around age 3/4.
Can I change the day and time of my child's lesson?
Lesson times are confirmed prior to the start of each term. As we run a busy schedule, it can be difficult to accommodate changes once a slot is confirmed. However, if your preferred time becomes available, we’d be happy to make the change. If not, our standard cancellation policy will apply.
